Located in the historic Fireblocks District in Dayton, Ohio, Salt Block Biscuit Company is a bakery and restaurant located on the first floor of Huffman Lofts. Salt Block specializes in biscuits, cookies, cakes and cobblers, and also serves sandwiches and take-home meals. With a small footprint, the primary challenge at Salt Block was to efficiently combine public seating with production areas in the long, narrow space. Meld worked with ownership to develop a functional floor plan and select inviting yet durable finishes throughout the project.
