Delve Office Renovation

Delve wanted their office to reflect the work they do and the heart and soul of their company, which informed the entire design, but specifically the breakroom and their open office space. Meld designed these spaces to be conducive to close collaboration and office morale. Another significant design intention was to maintain some of the original grit and industrial quality of the existing interior space. The team agreed to keep all of the original brick exposed as well as the original wood ceiling in the break room and the open office. The linear felt ceiling above the corridor creates movement through the office, drawing both ends of the space together and reflects the namesake of both firms.

Meld was hired by Delve Underground, a civil engineering firm specializing in tunnel design, to design their new office in the heart of Cleveland. Meld had been looking for a new office as well, so when the space Delve selected had extra room, Meld jumped at the opportunity. The teams had collaborated on projects in the past, and both agreed that the proximity would support both firms’ future growth and impact in the new location. Meld and Delve worked closely together to design an office that would fit both firms’ needs and respect the historic Market Garden building’s quality and character.
